Orpheus – Sleepy Land EP hits #6 on Beatport release chart
Orpheus AKA Yaniv Gabay is an Israeli who has been producing trance since 2007. A musical prodigy, by the age of 12, he was already playing a variety of instruments including the piano, guitar and drums. Orpheus began his production career in 1999. Talented in creating a wide range of psychedelic trance from progressive to full on to chill, his style is characterized by powerful music yet full of emotion.
Most importantly, Orpheus creates music without compromise in the quality and purity of the sound which is why Beatport chose to feature his Sleepy Land EP on their psy trance front page and the release has climbed to #6 on the release chart. And with support from Paul Van Dyk, Indecent Noise, Johan Ekman, Giuseppe Ottaviani, Talla 2XLC, Magnus, Champa, Daniel Lesden, Manuel Le Saux, and label boss Christopher Lawrence, we’re expecting big things when people hear this amazing release.
With a funky sliding bass, Heaven is a bouncing progressive psy track designed to get your groove on. Orpheus’s classical training and wide range of musical talent shines through on Sleepy Land with it’s beautiful piano and guitar work in the breakdown. Orpheus turns it up a notch on First Light, a collaboration with Mirson. Clever production and tripped out sounds give this track plenty of character to make it stand out on the dance floor.
Out exclusively on Beatport.
