Los sellos musicales dedicados al Trance y sus distintos derivados han fijado a Latinoamerica –entre otros lugares del mundo – cómo nuevo lugar para reafianzar este estilo que en Europa va a la baja desde hace ya varios años a causa de la potente entrada de otros estilos como elDubstep o el Electro, los que han acumlulado mucha fuerza en el ultimo tiempo, esto da por resultado que el talento local pueda ser apreciado por los A&R los que procuran encontrar esos nuevos talentos, el acceso a las grandes casas musicales de EDM está más accesible que nunca.

United States Trance Movement has named the Best Compilations of 2013 including Jonathan Allyn’s Pharmacy: Phase 2 and  Christopher Lawrence’s Rush Hour – Best of 2013.

As 2013 nears it’s end, it is time to unveil the Best Of albums. This is Pharmacy’s effort, ably mixed by label boss Christopher Lawrence. As it’s Pharmacy, you can expect dark monochrome trance with essences of psy thrown in for good measure.

Over the course of a 16-year career, Christopher Lawrence’s music has co-opted everything from Trance, Psychedelic, Progressive and Electronica anthems. And while it’s pretty safe to say Chris is one of the few Djs to be named the best American Dj export and through the many phases of his career he’s never shied away from real, energetic and truly uplifting productions. Chris is arguably the greatest American artist to emerge in the last two decades, having such an amazing discography under his belt, he still remains in the spotlight with his productions and remixes. Let’s take his weekly radio show for instance – a globally syndicated radio show, a massive project called “Rush Hour” in it’s 69th episode already, a show that gathers Uplifting Psy Trance lovers such as myself.

2013 has seen a resurgence in the underground dance music scene, specifically underground trance and progressive. Sure, the majority of dance music today has been bastardized by tacky, unoriginal productions and recycled sounds, but underground trance and progressive has remained true to its roots, with a handful incredibly talented underground artists championing that sound we have come to love. Pharmacy label boss Christopher Lawrence, a veteran and key player in the underground trance scene, captures that very sound in his latest mix compilation, “Rush Hour – Best of 2013”.
