CHRISTOPHER LAWRENCE RUSH HOUR “BEST OF 2015” COMPILATION
16 NOVEMBER, 2015

Christopher Lawrence is a name that needs no introduction. A pioneer in dance music, he has won a multitude of accolades including IDMA’s Best American DJ.

A host of other awards earned him the respect of the music industry at large as well as the recognition of being an inspiration to peers and fans alike.

Having spent the last 20 years amassing an impressive amount of Top 10 singles includingUnbroken, The Dark and The Whip, establishing a hugely respected record label in Pharmacy Music, conducting global tours in countries as diverse as Argentina and Australia and running an immensely popular 2-hour monthly radio podcast in Rush Hour, it is safe to say that his legendary status is assured.

After making his debut in 1994 with Metamorphosis, he quickly established himself as an important part of the psy trance community. In time, his releases and collaborations have come to define the genre and has enticed successive generations of fans to embrace the deeper and darker sounds.

With such an amazing career to date, one would expect Christopher Lawrence to slow down. But he is only just getting started.

With the inception of his Rush Hour radio podcast in 2008, he has sought to provide his legion of fans with the most cutting edge tech and psy trance tracks from artists across the globe. For two hours every month, fans are taken on a journey down the rabbit hole as Lawrence weaves his magic while having notable artists such as Daniel Lesden, Mark Sherry and John ’00’ Fleming drop in for guest mixes.

Along the way, it has become a ritual of sorts for Lawrence to release a “Best Of” compilation towards the end of every year in order to showcase the tracks that he deems worthy of being included in such an illustrious album.

This brings us to the latest album compilation in the series, Rush Hour – Best of 2015. Buckle up as Christopher Lawrence brings you on a journey through the rabbit hole to the land of underground trance with releases from more than 40 artists such as Solarstone, Morten Granau, Sonic Species,Astrix and many more, as well as remixes from the likes of Hypnoise, Magnus and Outsiders.

Standout tracks would include Solarstone’s stellar extended mix of Nothing But Chemistry Here, Reaky’s relentless Progressive Psychoanalysis, the hypnotic Outsiders remix of Zero by Sonic Species and Mekkanikka’s bass-rattling Jedi Skool.

Not to be missed would be Lawrence’s new single Unbroken, which has been remixed by Sonic Species and spent six weeks on Beatport’s Top 5 Singles chart.

The entire compilation spans twenty-nine tracks over a blazing two and a half hours, definitely not for the faint-hearted.

Rush Hour – Best of 2015 is available for purchase on Beatport and all other online stores from the 9th of November 2015 and is released by Pharmacy Music.
