iVibes reviews Christopher Lawrence – Whatever You Dream

The Pharmacy Music label has been really cracking up the releases over the past few months and here’s one from the boss, Christopher Lawrence with ‘Whatever You Dream’…

This will be the second single that Pharmacy Music boss Christopher Lawrence has brought out this year after the superb ‘The Dark’ back at the beginning of January. He has been spoiling us for choice for quality trance over the past few months with some really beautiful sounds coming from one of the hottest labels in trance. For his latest single he’s got some company with the freshly facedMechanimal and Active Limbic System putting their psy twist on Christopher’s signature sounds. The end result is a very good one, but you would expect nothing more from a legend of the scene like Christopher.

The scene for this latest Christopher Lawrence single is set as soon as you press play with the track packing some serious tempo. There is a Josh Smiths approach to this tune and it’s going to slap you round the face like the boyfriend a nice lady you’ve tried out your latest cheesy chat up line on. It’s banging from start to finish with some seriously addictive acid hooks and a ripping bass line that whips up a right storm. This is the aggressive side of Christopher Lawrence underground trance sound and one that gets the adrenaline pumping. You can forget any euphoric breakdowns; this one is all about banging patterns of pure audio please!

For those of you who like things a little bit more on the psy edge of the trance sound the remixes from Mechanimal and Active Limbic System will go down a treat. We have two contrasting interpretations to, with Mechanimal driving a deeper kick drum and bass line to keep with the originals progressively building approach, using those wicked acid hooks to great effect. On the flip side of that remix you have a bit an uplifting melody rocking away in Active Limbic System’s mix with a more crisp sound to the kick drum and kicks. The acid infused hook they have dropped in will set your ear drums alight! This remix is one to get the fist pumping.

Conclusion:
If you don’t know the quality of trance the Pharmacy label pumps out by now then Christopher Lawrence’s new track should slap you in the right direction. The tempo is right up there with this one and it’s good to see the two remixes getting creative with the main formula. This release is superb trance with acid hooks, driving rhythms, and crisp beats. I’d seriously recommend you putting this one in the shopping cart and plugging it in the sounds system, its worth the ear bashing from the neighbors.
