Metamorphosis
Synfonic are definitely ratcheting up their production this year. They follow up their massive Timetretched which dropped last month on Pharmacy with a new trance monster on Pharmacy Plus tiled Metamorphosis.
Metamorphosis instantly stands out because of the clever use of percussion and a kick and bass groove that changes up throughout the constantly evolving track. But it is Synfonic’s mastery of melodies that elevates this track head and shoulders above the rest. The subtle use of the main melody early in the track is a foreshadowing of the development of the melody in the breakdown. Synfonic keep it cool by ending the melody at the drop and return again to the thundering percussion driven power of the track.
