[HarderFaster] Fergie & Sadrian – Little Boy

US label Pharmacy Music’s motto is “You’ll never be embarrassed to admit that you like our trance” and in a lot of ways, its very true. With Sean J Morris, Magnus and Jonathan Allyn, amongst others, on their roster, its pretty much a certainty that you’ll find something you like on the label.

Little Boy isn’t about the atomic bomb of the same name so there’s no danger of the radioactivity theme continuing but what it IS about is fast electronic dance music. This is pure full-on trance with vocal edits and euphoric beats with remixes coming from Sean J Morris and Monroe Ramirez plus an S.H.I.T. mix by Fergie & Sadrian themselves. Its the Original Mix that is my pick though; there’s very little in the way of vocals and is probably best summed up by the samples and the frenetic nature of the beats and the epic basslines.

Saying that though, Sean J Morris follows up Earth and his remix of Mike Felks with a suitably upbeat, psy-influenced, mix. The tempo does increase with more use of the samples and a broader, more synthetic, riff. Monroe Ramirez drops an Alicuzcuz remix; adopting a techy approach to things which sounds pretty rad. The S.H.I.T.

mix, by Fergie & Sadrian themselves, is a re-edit of the original which essentially adds a new vocal to the track. Listen and it’ll all become clear.
